Q.   How much do you charge for a corporate video / ad film?
This practically varies with every project depending on your requirements. We have to take into account the expenses related to location, number of artists, cameras, make up, props etc., Based on your brief and on the acceptance of our core idea, we could be able to provide a perfect estimate. We don't believe in over charging our client, we can give you a detailed break up of our costs based on your requirements.
    Q.   What if we are not sure about what to do, can you guide us?
No problem, we can walk you through the entire production process based on your requirement. You may have to fill up your questionnaire to help us understand your needs thoroughly. Based on your inputs we can create a detailed project plan and explain to you about what we are going to do and how much it is going to cost. There will be complete clarity on what we are going to do and how beneficial it is for choosing us.
    Q.   Normally, what all are the things that will be involved in a video shoot?
For all practical reasons, it involves cameras, lights, our creative crew, props to be used in the shot etc., Depending on the nature and complexity of the shoot involved, there might be more crew and equipments. Though we make it a point to complete the shoot as quickly as possible through our perfect planning and execution capabilities, it might extend as the case may be.
    Q.   . I don't need your video shoot, can you support me to have music and voice over?
We can, why not? We can help you choose the most appropriate piece of music for your video from several online music libraries. We can also help you get necessary licenses to avoid getting into legal tangles later. Voice over is one area where we have unmatched expertise. We can fix up male and female voice over experts suitable for your video. We have network with several top-notch voice over agencies to help you zero-in on the right voice for your video.
    Q.   What can you say about the quality of your videos?
You will get best output with us. We don't compromise on the quality. We shoot the scenes using high definition cameras with prime cine lenses.
    Q.   What software do you use? What cameras do you use for the shoot?
For editing we use Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects for graphics and animation.
Camera is one area that keeps us looking for the best as we get amazed by the quality of each new one that hits the market. Currently we are using Canon 5D. We can go with any camera of your choice, if you need, as we have tie-up with few top-notch camera rental companies in Chennai who can provide us with any camera under the sun.
    Q.  Can you clarify the difference between high definition and standard definition? No jargons please. Let me know in layman's language.
A high definition video looks more sharper and clearer than the standard definition because the image has more details. For any technical information related to pixels / resolutions you can go through Wikipedia and we cannot give a better explanation that that. Does this answer your question?
    Q.  Can you jot down an average shoot day schedule of yours normally?
We give below a rough 10-hour work shoot schedule of a corporate video:
  • 7:45AM – Travel to shoot location / corporate office / factory etc., We travel in cars and trucks with all our equipments and crew members at one go. Approx 45 minutes.
  • 8:30AM – Location arrival and set up for the shoot; 1 hour.
  • 9:30AM – Shoot first shot; 30 minutes.
  • 10:15AM – Shoot second shot; 30 minutes.
  • 10:45AM – Shoot various shots; 2 hour 45 minutes.
  • 1:30PM – Break for lunch; 30 minutes.
  • 2:00PM – Move to another location and set up; 1 hour.
  • 3:00PM – Shoot various shots.
  • 4:30PM – Tea break for 15 minutes.
  • 4:45PM – Shoot various shots;1 hour.
  • 6:00PM – Pack up; 45 minutes.
  • 6:45PM – Departure from the location
    Q.  What is your normal turnaround time for each project?
For all practical reasons, you can assume that our project turnaround time is 1 month. There are instances where we have completed projects within 1 week also. It depends on the project. Needless to say, if the project involves lot of graphics, editing, customized music or theme music, approval from regulatory bodies, then the time could extend even upto 2 months. But we can always commit a realistic deadline and deliver within the committed time.
    Q.  We already have an old video footage shot few years back. Can it be added into the new video that is being shot?
We cannot say anything about it without viewing it. However, if the older footage doesn't match with the look and feel of the current project and if there is a mismatch in the quality, then adding it is not advisable. Though we provide professional advice, we usually leave it to the client to take the final call with regard to adding older footage.
    Q.  Tell us your payment policy?
We will be providing detailed cost breakup and invoice for you to process our payment during the discussion stage. Once you approve our project costing, we may require 75% of the project cost before we go for the shoot. The balance 25% can be paid on completion of the project delivery. All applicable taxes will be levied.
